What customers say?

“ Unexpected Gold on Dundas I walked past this place for a long time without ever stopping, but lately, I’ve been making it a point to finally try the spots I’ve overlooked. I stopped by on a whim tonight, and honestly, I’m so glad I did. I had the beef curry, and the first thing that hits you is the value ten bucks for a portion that is genuinely huge. It’s becoming rare to find a meal that feels this substantial for that price point. Beyond the food, the service was excellent; the gentleman serving me couldn't have been kinder, which really anchors the whole experience. I’m leaving full, happy, and wondering why I waited this long to step inside. If you’re passing by and looking for a solid, honest meal that doesn't break the bank, this is the spot. ”

“ Bangladeshi restaurant, the food was amazing. Tried the lamb biryani. The biryani itself was moist, flavorful and the lamb meet was perfectly cooked so that it melts in your mouth. On top of the biryani, you get to choose curry gravy which is delicious. Other than that they had chicken/beef curry, vegetables and daal which you can have with plain rice. Bengali sweets like gulab jamun, laddu and barfi can be found for dessert. Wish they had payesh/kheer. Tea and canned cold drinks available. The food is cheap and the environment is too, so I'd suggest taking a takeout if atmosphere bothers you. To me, it was a friendly and homey environment. ”

“ What a gem! People are nice, portion is huge, and it’s so budget friendly! I tried lamb biriyani ($9.99 plus tax) today and was full already by only eating the meat. Will definitely return to try other dishes. Highly recommend! ”
